Privacy Policy

This policy explains what wristband.club collects, why, and what you can do about it. wristband is run by Needlestack Labs. We try to collect only what we need to run events and ticketing well.
What you give us
- Account details — your name, email, and password (passwords are handled by our authentication provider; we never see them in plain text).
- Organization and event info — anything you add as an organizer, like event descriptions, images, ticket types, and staff you invite.
- Ticket details — when you claim or buy a ticket, the holder name, email, and answers to any questions the organizer asks on their ticket form.
- Payment info — when paid tickets are available, payments go through Stripe. Stripe handles your card details; we don't store full card numbers.
What we collect automatically
- Cookies — a session cookie to keep you signed in, and, for organizers using two-factor authentication, a cookie that remembers a trusted device so you aren't asked for a code every time.
- Basic technical data — things like your browser type and IP address, used for security and to keep the service working.
How we use it
- To run your account, your events, and ticket check-in.
- To send you transactional email — ticket confirmations, organization invites, and verification codes — through our email provider.
- To keep the service secure and to investigate abuse.
- To provide support when you reach out.
We don't sell your personal information.
Who sees your information
- Event organizers — when you get a ticket to an event, that event's organizers and assigned staff can see your ticket details (name, email, your answers, and check-in status) so they can run the event and let you in.
- Service providers — companies that help us operate, including providers for accounts and authentication, payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, and hosting. They only get what they need to do their job.
- Legal reasons — if we're required to by law, or to protect people's safety and our rights.
Keeping your data
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to run events you're part of, and after that only as long as we need it for legal, accounting, or security reasons. You can ask us to delete your account and personal data.
Your choices
You can view and update most of your information from your account settings. For anything else — including a copy or deletion of your data — email us and we'll help. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data, and you're welcome to exercise them.
Security
We use encryption in transit, scoped access, and other safeguards to protect your data. No service can promise perfect security, but we take it seriously and work to fix issues quickly.
Children
wristband isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll change the date above and, for significant changes, give notice where it's appropriate.
